The Baobab Tree Trust is a Zimbabwean registered charity (Reg. No. 842/2019) dedicated to empowering future innovators and leaders through technology. We operate in Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom. IT equipment donated to us by various organisations is shipped to Zimbabwe where we set up computer labs/hubs within underprivileged communities and schools.
Even though empowerment through technology is at the core of our mission. In times of national crises/need we also endeavour to assist were we can. In 2019 When Cyclone Idai caused devastating damage, and a humanitarian crisis in Zimbabwe which left hundreds and many more missing we took part in response initiatives which collected aid items including clothes and food which were given to the people of Chimanimani.
